ESRA AYDıN DEMIRöZ (SPATIAL STATISTICS SPATIAL DATA SCIENCE APPLICATIONS)

Spatial statistics includes statistical tools for analyzing spatial distributions, patterns, processes and relationships. Although there are similarities between spatial and non-spatial (traditional) statistics in terms of concepts and targets, spatial statistics are unique in that they have been developed specifically for use with geographic data. Unlike traditional non-spatial statistical methods, they incorporate space ( Proximity, space, connectivity and/or other spatial relationships) directly into their operations.

In this course, the power of spatial statistics, from simple methods to summarizing and explaining spatial patterns to advanced machine learning clustering techniques, will be transferred using Geographical Information Systems technologies.
