Sayın Katılımcılar,

The Congress will be held at Yıldız Technical University.
Davutpaşa Campus, İstanbul/TÜRKİYE
Just like the Main Campus, YTU Davutpaşa Campus has a deep-rooted history. The military settlement in the area where the Barracks is located dates back to the Byzantine period; the region was in a position to serve military and palace ceremonies; It is said that during the conquest of Istanbul, it served to accommodate the soldiers and that Sultan Mehmed's tent was established here.

During the Ottoman period, the Barracks maintained the same functions, while the region had a significant role in serving the palace and military ceremonies starting from the 15th century. Davutpaşa Barracks was built as a barracks for the army named Asakir-i Mansure-i Muhammediye, which Mahmud II (1808-1839) created by completely suppressing the Janissary Corps. The construction of the building started in 1826-1827 and was completed in 1831-1832 and the architect of the building is thought to be Krikor Balyan. The Barracks were repaired during the Balkan War and used to shelter immigrants. The military hospital, which was opened during World War I, was closed in 1920. Davutpaşa Barracks, which completed its military function when it was transferred to YTU in 1999 to serve for education, has survived to the present day with its unique function.
